Abundance of Rain

Then Elijah said to Ahab, “Go up, eat and drink; for there is the sound of abundance of rain.” (1Kgs.18.41).

The draught in the land had led the prophet into battle against the prophets of Baal. Things went messy but the man of God prayed and spoke against the prevailing circumstances that there will be abundance of rain. I have a witness within me that you should expect abundance of rain, despite all the prevailing challenges. Fix your eyes on God for the best. There shall be a turn around for your good.

Do not focus on the past. Keep your gaze on the future, there is hope for you, and your expectations shall not be cut short. The pains of the past will soon be a forgotten issue because God is preparing a table before you to celebrate. Muster courage to believe God for the best because faithful is He that promised for He will surely do it.

“Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert (Isa.43.18-19).

Leave the old and settle in the new things God is about to do. Do not let your past hinder your future. God is able to do all that He has promised. Trust Him yet a little more, to enjoy His goodness. You shall see good in the land of the living. Amen.
