Attractive Lights

For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the LORD will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising (Isa.60.2).

The light has a very significant role to play in daily transactions. It gives illumination for people to see and to act. Light is sweet as against darkness that does the opposite. In creating the world, God had light as companion and antidote to darkness. Whereas darkness is covering the earth, the believer will keep shining, thereby attracting others. Darkness represents sin, evil, confusion, strife and everything ungodly. Light on the other hand represents righteousness, truth, understanding and clarity.

The light upon the believer is the righteousness of the Lord. It is the clarity of vision, understanding and radiation of God’s glory upon them, that will attract others. Therefore, the believer should not walk in confusion or darkness because he has a higher assignment to make others see the light. Light is good and so is everyone that bears the light. Light is pleasant and so is everyone that bears the light. Light is glorious and so is everyone that bears the light.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven (Matt.5.16).

The way to make your light accessible to the public is through your good deeds. Restricting your good deeds to few people or to specific places will cover your light. Refusal to show forth your good deeds to both the deserving and undeserving will cover your light. The only way out is to show forth your good deeds continually. May your light continue to shine brighter unto the perfect day. Amen.
