Be Strong
And David said to his son Solomon, “Be strong and of good courage, and do it; do not fear nor be dismayed, for the LORD God–my God-will be with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you, until you have finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD (1Chr.28.20).
The above counsel coming from David means much more than as it appears. David was the writer of Psalms and he had seen a lot for him to encourage Solomon to “be strong”. Basically, life throws up challenges at all including the believer. The essence is to weaken you until you give up but “be strong.” To be strong means to keep your resolve irrespective of the waves and storms around, do not give up.
Checking through the scriptures, there were many times people were at the edge before God showed up to help them. All it takes is courage and holding on till He shows. You may weep through the night but you will smile in your morning. Holding up is an art to be learn in the midst of crisis. It is easier to give up but that will not lead to testimony. If you’re considering giving up today, please hold on. God is working things out on your behalf.
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” (Josh.1.9).
Whatever you’re going through, no matter where you find yourself, giving up is not an option. The times may be hard but you have the help from God to sustain you through the times. Just be strong and courageous.
