WHAT GOD WANTS
Mic.6.8 – He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?
Our walk with God was never meant to be passive, neither are we expected to continually make demands from Him without yielding to His own demands.
God wants a people given to justice. Justice is doing what is right and paying attention to people doing things right. It is to ensure no one is cheated when it is in your power to ensure things are done well.
While ensuring things are done, we must remember to have mercy. We all are products of mercy. Mercy is the other side of justice. It is the ability to let go of wrong in love without seeking revenge. It is about not dealing with people in judgment as they deserve. It is to not be judgmental.
Lastly, God desires humility. In this era where it costs little to launder our image on Social media, God wants us to portray ourselves as dependent on Him. “For we are not sufficient in ourselves, but our sufficiency is of Christ (2 Cor. 3:5).
Lord, I yield myself to do justly, love mercy and to walk humbly before you. That which is pleasing to you is what I choose to do. Amen.
