STAMINA

Prov.24.10 – If you faint in the day of adversity, Your strength is small.

Many believers overlook the place of preparation in their quest to become all that God wants them to be. Building strength is vital. Stamina is the energy to continue doing something over a long period. It is the grit to sustain what you are doing for long. Many people pray for certain things they are not prepared to enjoy.

In the journey of the Israelites to the promised Land, God took them through the longer route so as to prepare them for the future. You cannot pray for a future and avoid the training for that future. God will not take an unprepared person to a prepared place. Such a person will mess up the place. Do you have stamina?

Then it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God did not lead them by way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, “Lest perhaps the people change their minds when they see war, and return to Egypt” (Exod.13.17).

Most of the experiences you are going through currently are to prepare you for the future you seek. Though you’re concerned about the outcome, God is interested in the process as well the outcome. With Him, the end and the means are the same. What lesson are you learning?

Many people have abandoned their places and callings in life because they did not prepare for what they met. God would have us get equipped for the assignment. There is no place for laziness or ease in the position of authority.
