1Cor.4.2 – Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful.
As you make progress in your spiritual journey, you will notice that your span of influence and authority increases with time. Sometimes, it looks like one victory brings another. The truth is that, there is a gauge to determine how well you have used the past privileges.
One of the requirements for possessing the treasures of heaven is the quality of faithfulness. It is a divine requirement that a person be found faithful in the management and distribution of the gifts received. The failure of this could mean unworthiness to be a channel God would use. Many have failed the divine test hence they’re not enjoying any form of increase.
Therefore, if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? (Luke.16.11).
The pattern of heaven is to test a person before real wealth is committed to them. True riches is not material. It is tangible and they manifest in forms of virtues that money cannot buy yet, they make material resources available, effortlessly. Heaven is careful about releasing true riches to people who may bastardize it. God is a careful investor. He is not careless about His trust either.
But some may wonder why anybody can be rich. Yes, money is easier to possess than true riches. Anybody can be rich applying simple formulas but God commits Himself only to trust worthy (proven) people. And the basic requirement is faithfulness. If you’re not faithful in what belongs to another, yours won’t come. If you fail in the handling of ordinary money, true riches will elude you. Faithfulness is non negotiable.
