Divine Help

“Fear not, you worm Jacob, You men of Israel! I will help you,” says the LORD And your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel (Isa.41.14).

The element of fear is a major cause of frustration in many people. Fear is a bondage that entraps people in obscurity. To be fearful is to lack the courage to confront the future or sometimes to simply enjoy daily living. Why fears could be unreal, the fearful person seems to have an experience that paralysis the ability to function optimally. Fear is an unseen enemy that must be defeated in a believer’s life. God promised to help Jacob and by extension every believer who needs help to overcome every form of fear.

There are different kinds of fear. Some people fear water, while others fear heights. The most common fear is the fear of the unknown. It is the fear that comes about the future, plans or aspirations. It comes when there are concerns about what may happen beyond your control. The only good fear is the reverential fear of God. God promised to help the fearful. The reason for the promise is for you to relax and know that there is Someone bigger and greater than your limitations coming to your rescue.

Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.” (Deut.31.6)

The encouragement to you this day is to be strong and courageous. Whatever may be ahead of you, do not fear. Let courage rise up within you because you have a Helper. Don’t be afraid of the projects or people ahead of you because you have a Helper. Your confession should be, “the LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” Be strong!
