Enjoying Peace

Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all (2Thess.3.16).

Ever since the angel announced the coming of Christ pronounced joy to the world for the coming prince of peace, the devil has fought to ensure the people remain in chaos instead of peace. Some declined the relationship offer of Christ, only to remain in darkness perpetually. One of the things Jesus said is that light has come but some people prefer darkness because their works are evil. Those who like evil don’t always have peace because light and peace go together. And the Lord will go to any length to offer peace to His own.

The need for peace is to help you serve him in oneness of mind and joy. Walking in peace means walking in calmness and staying power irrespective of the challenges around. There will always be chaos but how do you find the serenity that is beyond human understanding? Jesus offered that without blinking to those who would embrace him. He would stop at nothing to deliver those who trust in him.

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid (John.14.27).

Here is Christ offering a peace that runs differently from the world peace. It is the peace that passes understanding that has the capacity to sustain you amidst storm of life. It wast the same peace he demonstrated when he was falsely accused. The whole idea is to save you from trouble and unnecessary burdens. Do you really need peace? Christ offers it maximally.
