Hearing God
My sheep hear My voice, and I know them,
and they follow Me(John.10.27).
God liken himself to a shepherd and his followers sheep. He said his followers hear him speak to them and they respond. Those who don’t hear him, don’t belong to Him then but his followers hear his voice. This is instructive for the believers who still claim not hearing his voice. The question is, do you belong to him?
The import of hearing from God is vital to every sphere of life. It is like the operating system of the believer. Everything else revolves around instructions from above. This is very clear to all the saints. We don’t joke with instructions because therein lies our success, victory and power.
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God (Rom.8.14).
The leading of the believer takes place within either through inner witness, voice of reasoning, the word of God and other unique ways. The good thing is that, when God speaks to you, you will not miss it. He is too real to be misunderstood. It requires discipline and commitment to yield to the voice of God on a continual basis. If you have not been hearing Him consistently, then it is time to pay attention.
