Living Wisely
Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity. (Col.4.5).
Isn’t it interesting that the Bible has a guide for the believer almost in every sphere of life? To live the life of Christ radically affects everything about the believers’ life. He begins to operate by a different system. Today, we will consider living with wisdom among the people who holds a different belief system, without losing out of God’s best for you. Walking in wisdom or discernment means that our words and actions must be consistent with our personality as a believer to present the message of Christ.
Another aspect of living wisely is making the most use of every opportunity because the time is short. We are not ignorant of the limited time we have on earth either by reason of age, limited opportunities or the return of Christ, time is short. We must seize every opportunity available to tell of the love of Christ to the dying world. There will never be a convinient time to do so but we will have to keep it as part of our obligation, to remind the world that Jesus died for them.
See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit (Eph. 5:15-18).
It is only fools that walk without giving thoughts to their nature, without purpose or regards for the future. Maximize the time while you are alive and the best way is to know God’s will concerning everything. This becomes easier when you are filled with the Holy Spirit and controlled by Him.
