Overcoming Challenges

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (Phil.4.6-7).

Life has a way of throwing things at us that we may never have bargained for but we must rise still. One of the effects of challenges is anxiety. It is a state of constant expectations of what will happen next, the result over which we often have no control. It wearies the heart to have such thoughts that renders one powerless.

The scriptures counsel that we shouldn’t worry about anything. What do you do when you’re faced with challenges? Your first step should be to tell Jesus about it. Some look for friends while others get despondent but your response should be to tell Jesus. The help you get telling Jesus is that he gives you peace of mind, then answers your prayers.

From the end of the earth I will cry to You, When my heart is overwhelmed; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I (Ps.61.2).

There will always be times our hearts will be overwhelmed. Christ is the rock that satisfies. Never hesitate to ask for help when in need but ask the right person. Ask God. Let your heart be prepared to receive peace and then the answer to your Prayers.

Never put yourself at the mercy of people for help. Let courage rise in your heart to seek help where it is mostly needed but ask God who freely gives us all things without mocking us. He helps us without criticising us. He is our present help in trouble.
