Promoted by Test
He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much (Luke.16.10).
In the act of stewardship, faithfulness is often required. It helps the authority to make sound judgement about trust, loyalty and promotion. Our text today shows that faithfulness is a virtue that has the capacity to promote the person. God also requires it to lift anyone up.
At a time, an apprentice short changed his master by collecting bribe from a needy person after the his master had prayed for the man. Instead of inheriting the anointing of his master, he got leprosy as his reward. The need to be faithful is not only for the Master to enjoy his servant’s loyalty but for the servant to rise higher in the business.
Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful (1Cor.4.2)
It is a kingdom requirement that you be found faithful in whatever is commited info your care. It is on that basis that decisions are made for promotion. There are many people that are due for promotion but so far faithfulness is not found in their survival skit, nothing can be done.
Finally, the craze for success and promotion are not worth your pursuit, rather learn to be faithful. As the virtue increases, opportunities are made available. Check if you are the one holding yourself down.
