Seed of Greatness
It is like a mustard seed which, when it is sown on the ground, is smaller than all the seeds on earth; but when it is sown, it grows up and becomes greater than all herbs, and shoots out large branches, so that the birds of the air may nest under its shade” (Mark.4.31-32.).
One of the secrets of the kingdom is how great things come in a seed form. The kingdom was liken to a seed that grows to become a mighty tree. There is a consistency of how little things should not be neglected in the capacity of what it can produce. If a mustard seed can grow so big, then it is time to pay attention to the little seeds we sow daily.
While we may not be conscious of several seeds sown regularly, it is important to pay attention to them because they carry the capacity to blossom beyond our expectations. However, if you look closely, the mustard tree became a place of refuge for birds and for taking shade. The kingdom spreads from the little obedience, actions and instructions carried out.
Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin, to see the plumb line in Zerubbabel’s hand.” (Zec. 4:10).
The secret is right there, do not despise the days of small beginnings. Do not ignore seeds that are given to you to sow. Seeds of time, actions, words and little opportunities. They matter a lot in the kingdom. Every great thing started small. Learn the principle of the seed.
