Witnesses
That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life (1John.1.1).
The interesting part of the Faith work, is the opportunity to have a first hand experience of the things written in the Holy Bible. There is no faith by knowledge only for the followers of Christ. It was the Apostles speaking about their experiences of all that Christ taught. The faith in Christ is not designed to be talked about but to be experienced first and then professed. Anything contrary makes the witness is a hypocrite. This is why personal encounter is key to spiritual walk with Christ. Don’t start by accepting all you are told, seek to have an experience. It dissolves doubts.
Are you confused about many things as it relates to your faith in God? Ask for a personal encounter with Him. Many people have anointed God as too serious to be asked questions. Others think it is disrespectful to air your views or doubts to Him. If you don’t ask Him about himself, who should you ask? He is our father that delights in us with no reservation. He loved us long before we thought of “accepting” Him. God’s ultimate desire is for you to relate with Him as a child relates with His father – cordially.
The former account I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach (Acts.1.1).
Jesus set an example of doing before teaching. He had experience of all that we are probably struggling with. He was tempted at all points yet without sin. What are you struggling with that you think no one will understand? Tell it to Jesus and you will be a better witness of how God is faithful to all. Shalom!
