Phil.4.8 – Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy–meditate on these things.
Your thought is more than ordinary. It defines your destiny, ultimately. It is very difficult, if not impossible, to arise above your thoughts. Neglect to pay attention to what you think at your own perils.
“Sow a thought,
Reap an act
Sow an act
Reap a habit
Sow a habit
Reap a character
Sow a character
Reap a destiny”
To live a better life, start from thinking better thoughts. Children of God have a
frame of thoughts that produce excellent results. Paul stated them in the text above. Good thinking will definitely produce good results. It is imperative to give your mind what to think. Never let your thoughts loose with a wondering heart.
A good place to start is what you see. Your eyes are windows to your mind. Read God’s word for better contents of thought, as it renews the mind. Then make a conscious effort to think Godly thoughts. “Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things”(Col.3:2). Thought is NOT ordinary. Pay attention to what you think.
