TRIALS
Isa.43.2 – When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.
Nobody likes trial in life. We may not expressly say this but we try as much as possible to avoid tight situations or hard times. Passing through fire and walking through rivers are like going through difficulties. Yet, no great life has been made without the refining process.
Often than not, the fire of refining is not to burn you but to burn away the dross in our lives. The fire did not burn the Hebrew children but consumed the ropes used to bind them. The fire did not burn Paul but burnt the snake clinging to him. The fire of trials won’t burn you but refine you. Do you believe this?
Trusting God through tough times is an evidence of faith. It is a matter of trust that God is too faithful to fail. A man who saw what tough times produces says,
But He knows the way that I take; When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold (Job.23.10).
Does He know the way you are taking? Do you trust Him to regulate the fire to burn only the dross in your life? Can you see beyond your trials to the abundance ahead? God is faithful and He won’t fail you. He is too faithful to fail.
