Restoration

And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you (Joel 2:25).

The salvation package for the believers is a total package that covers the past, present and the future. Restoration is the bringing back to normal position of what was lost or displaced. Largely, sin, ignorance or disobedience can cause a loss. We saw how Adam lost a precious garden due to disobedience. God promises to bring back to position whatever has been lost. He is a faithful Father.

When we lose things, it sometimes gets our eyes fixed on the past. Many times God would encourage us to forget the past and focus on the new things He is about to do. Are you still bound to your past? Have you lost something dear to you and you think there is no hope again? There is restoration in the package that God has for you. He is able to restore all things that has been lost without fail.

So David inquired of the LORD, saying, “Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?” And He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.”(1Sam.30.8)

In the most depressing situation, David asked the Lord about the things He lost to his enemies and God said he would recover all. He did recovered everything without fail. I speak to you this day that every good thing you have lost, you shall recover them. God will do a new thing in you that your mouth shall be opened wide in amazement. Forget the pains of the past. Focus on the future.
